TheEasyForms provides self-help document templates and is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using this site, our documents, or our API does not create an attorney-client relationship. We are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney. If you need legal advice, consult an attorney licensed in your state.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using TheEasyForms (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our handling of your information. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Self-help service - no legal advice
The Service offers blank and fill-in-the-blank legal document templates and tools to help you prepare documents yourself. We are not a law firm, do not practice law, and do not review your documents for legal sufficiency. No communication with us is protected by attorney-client privilege. You are responsible for deciding whether a given document is appropriate for your situation.
3. No attorney-client relationship
Nothing on the Service creates an attorney-client relationship between you and TheEasyForms or any of its staff or contractors. Information provided through the Service is general and may not reflect the most current legal developments in your jurisdiction.
4. Documents are provided “as is”
Documents and templates are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that a document will be accepted for recording or achieve any particular legal effect. State and county requirements change and vary; templates may not reflect every requirement that applies to you.
5. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for: (a) the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter; (b) the legal description and all factual details of any property; (c) signing, witnessing, and notarizing documents as your state requires; (d) recording or filing documents with the correct office and paying any required taxes or fees; and (e) determining whether you need a licensed attorney. We do not record or file documents for you.
6. Accounts
You may create an account using a one-time email sign-in link. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Saved drafts are provided as a convenience and may be deleted by you at any time.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to infringe others’ rights, to misrepresent your identity or authority, or to generate documents you are not legally entitled to execute. We may suspend access for misuse.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheEasyForms and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any document produced with it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the document at issue (which, for free documents, is zero).
9. Changes
We may update these terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
